Greetings Loved Ones, Let's Take A Journey...
Hello! Hi! G'day! Fancy seeing you here! Chances are you've stumbled across this blog from one of my social media posts, or in the case of my beautiful family and friends because I've been blabbering on about it and pestering you to have a read (Hi Mum!).
I started my Instagram a little more than a year ago now. My thought process definitely went along the lines of: 'Boy Paige, you sure do go out and eat a lot and you sure as hell take a lot of photos of food when you go out and now they're all just uselessly taking up storage space in your phone. Maybe, just maybe, you could motivate your lazy ass to put them to good use?' And thus, @melbfoodjourney was born.
It's been a fantastic experience. From fine dining at Heston's to burgers and tater tots five storeys above Collingwood in a converted train carriage; from food trucks and night markets to sampling chef Shane Delia's new kebab creations straight from the masterful hands of the man himself. Melbourne has such a diverse food scene, surely one of the greatest in the world and to be able to immerse myself in this head-on has been killer. And there is a vibrant foodie community out there, ready to welcome you with open arms, both friendly and informative.
For a while now, I have definitely been considering taking my engagement with Melbourne's food scene that one step further and creating a blog. The ability to post in-depth reviews and discussion of my experiences, a wider range of photos to get you salivating and to further communicate with my followers sounds perfect to me. So, check it out, have a read and let me know what you think in the comments!
